Da Jin Kim is establishing herself as one of the most sensitive, thoughtful, and exciting South Korean pianists of her generation. Da Jin has won prizes at numerous competitions including the XII Darmstadt International Chopin Piano Competition in Germany and the 50th Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Seoul National University and her Master’s degree at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. She was awarded full scholarships and stipends to continue her doctoral studies at Frost under the guidance of Naoko Takao, Kevin Kenner, and Santiago Rodriguez. She has served as a teaching assistant for the Department of Keyboard Performance at the Frost School of Music and has been serving as an instructor at the Frost Preparatory Program. Da Jin is currently a D.M.A. candidate and will also be receiving a doctoral cognate in music theory.
