Meet Sophia Lin
Classical pianist Sophia Lin has performed throughout the United States since the age of five. She received her bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at Northwestern University, where she studied with Sylvia Wang. She went on to receive her master’s degree and Graduate Performance Diploma in Piano Performance at Peabody Conservatory under the guidance of Steven Spooner. In Fall 2023, Sophia joined the University of Miami for her doctoral degree in Keyboard Performance as a teaching assistant and is currently studying with Santiago Rodriguez.
In addition to performing, Sophia has been teaching piano since 2012. She received piano pedagogy instruction from Marcia Bosits at Northwestern University and ran a piano studio at the Baltimore School of Music while at Peabody Conservatory. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Frost School of Music, Sophia currently teaches group and private piano lessons to undergraduate and graduate students.
